Update 8th December 2009...........Thanks ! THROB! would like to thank everyone for a great night at the Christmas Bash on 5th December 2009 (click HERE for photos). The support from our loyal supporters was incredible. Nearly 200 people were there including a full coach load of 50! This gig marked Dave's 40th year in the local music scene and what a fitting way to do so. The whole evening was a storming success and we would like to pass on our sincere thanks to the following people: - Titch of Rhythmic PA and Lighting hire (the 5th member of Throb) for a great sound and light show as usual. - Dale for the help with the soundcheck, DVD and sound recording. - Daves girls Berni and Charlie for selling all the raffle tickets in aid of the Big C. - Lesley and Kev for the door work. - Sally and Mark from the Rose and Crown for the superb bar work and the amazing donation of £200 for Big C. - Frettenham village hall for the room hire and the Xmas Decor! The gig raised the amazing total of £731.91 for the Big C. Once again thanks to you all for making us old rockers keep going ! Watch this space for news on future gigs. And finally, a reminder NOT to miss THROB! at the UEA Golden Years on Sat March 27th 2010........see you there !!!!!! |

Update 08.09.2009 - New gigs announced ! Saturday 10th October 2009, Spixworth Village Hall. Saturday 5th December 2009, Frettenham Village Hall......this is THROB'S XMAS BASH ! Update 10.04.2009 - To listen to Throb's interview on Radio Norfolk to promote the Golden Years gig click HERE Update 09.02.2009 - THROB are pleased to announce that they will be appearing at this year's Golden Years gig at the UEA on Saturday April 25th. The 2 nights at Frettenham on Friday 28th and Saturday 29th November were a great success - both nights were sold out. We would like to thank everyone involved with the weekend. The event raised in excess of £400 for the BIG C Appeal. Thanks go to Elizabeths Florists and The Black Lion pub for their raffle donations. Thanks also to Kevin for all his assistance with the Venue and especially for the carpet he lent Kenny to stop his Drum Kit sliding off the front of the stage ! Thanks go to Titch of Rhythmic PA Hire for the sound and lighting systems which were a pleasure to behold. Thanks also to Dale for his expertise in helping us achieve the THROB sound which is so vitally important to us. Thanks to Aarron Fickling and Dale for the superb THROB web site work and to Aarron and John for the brilliant photography which we are sure you will agree re-creates the incredible visual atmosphere created by Dave's imagination and forethought. And finally a massive thankyou to everyone who attended - it was fantastic to see all our old friends and family that have followed THROB through the years - you dudes from the Angel haven't changed a bit (yeah right !!!!). THROB have always had a great loyal following and to see you all there including former Band Members and Roadies makes it all worthwhile. YOU are what we are all about.
